Terms of Service

QuoteMatch is an independent matching service. You tell us about your business, and we pass your application to licensed commercial insurance brokerages that may be able to help.

QuoteMatch does not:

• act as an insurance broker, agent, or insurer;
• give insurance, legal, or financial advice;
• quote, sell, bind, or service insurance policies;
• guarantee that any brokerage will contact you, offer a quote, or offer coverage at any particular price.

References to a three-minute quote describe the time it takes to complete our application. Actual quotes come from licensed brokers after they review your business.

You must be at least 18 and authorized to act for the business you are applying for. The service is for businesses operating in Ontario and is not for personal auto, home, or life insurance.

You agree that the information in your application is accurate and complete. Brokers and insurers rely on it. Inaccurate or missing information can lead to a declined application, a different price, or problems with a claim later.

You authorize us to share your application with partner brokerages and to have them contact you, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Partner brokerages are independent businesses licensed by their provincial regulators. Any advice, quote, or policy you receive is between you, the brokerage, and the insurer. You are free to decline any offer. QuoteMatch is not responsible for a broker's advice, conduct, or the terms of any policy they arrange.

We require partners to meet the standards described on our About us page, but we do not supervise their day-to-day work.

The service is free for businesses. Partner brokerages pay QuoteMatch a flat marketing or referral fee for qualified inquiries. That fee does not depend on whether you buy a policy, and it does not change the price you are quoted. Learn how we make money.

You agree not to:

• submit false information or apply on behalf of someone else without permission;
• use the site to send spam or harvest other people's information;
• interfere with the site's security or operation, or access it with automated tools;
• use the site for any unlawful purpose.

The site's text, design, logos, and illustrations belong to QuoteMatch or its licensors. You may view and share pages for personal or business reference, but you may not copy or reuse them commercially without permission.

We link to other websites, such as provincial insurance regulators, for your reference. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

The site and service are provided "as is" and "as available." General information on the site is for education only and is not a substitute for advice from a licensed broker. To the extent permitted by law, we make no warranties about the availability, accuracy, or results of the service.

To the extent permitted by law, QuoteMatch is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses, or for losses arising from a broker's or insurer's acts, omissions, advice, or coverage decisions. Because the service is free to businesses, our total liability to you for any claim related to the service is limited to $100 CAD. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under laws that cannot be excluded.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute will be handled by the courts of Ontario, unless the law where you are located requires otherwise.

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they were last revised. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
